EMPLOYMENT NOTICE:
Applications in prescribed format along with 2 passport size photographs are
invited from eligible male and female candidates to fill up 18 posts of
CONSTABLES in the pay band of Rs. 5200-20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 2400
and other allowances as admissible under the rules in Sikkim Police. The
reservations for various categories are as under

ELIGIBILITY CONDITTIONS:
(1)EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION Minimum class XII passed with
Physics, Chemistry, Maths from recognized board.
(2)AGE- Not less than 18years and not more than 22 years on 1st May, 2012.
(3)AGE RELAXATION- Relaxation of 5 years for BL/ST/SC, 4 years for MBC
and 3 years for OBC candidates. Upper age limit for HG candidates belonging
to BL/ST/SC is 32 years, MBC 31 years and OBC candidates 30 years.
(4)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-
(a)Height – 5 3 minimum for male-5 min. for female
(b)Chest: -32 min. with min. 2 expansion for male.
(c)Weight -50 Kgs. min. for male-45 Kgs. min. for female
(5)DOCUMENTS REQUIRED- (a) Sikkim Subject/COI, (b) Valid local
employment card, (c) ST/SC/MBC/OBC Certificate, (d) Educational
qualification certificate/mark sheet, (e) Birth certificate, (f) NOC from Head of
Department in case of Govt. servant.
No photocopies of the above documents except NOC at Sl.No. (f) above are
required to the submitted at the time of application. All relevant documents in
original will be scrutinized at the time of appointment. Any candidate filing
false information on the application form shall be disqualified even if he/she is
otherwise eligible for appointment and shall also be liable for punishment under
the law.
(II)PRESCRIBED APPLICATION FORMS can be obtained from the office of
the Inspector General of Police, Communications & Computers, Police
Headquarters, Gangtok on working days till 4.00PM of 5th June,2012 on
production of Bank (SBS) Receipt for Rs. 50/- under revenue head 0055-Police-
800 other receipts. The candidate must fill in application form with his/her own
handwriting.
(III) LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION: 5th June, 2012
before close of office at 1600 hrs.
(IV) SELECTION: The candidates are selected through the process of-
(a) Physical Measurement,
(b) Written Examination on Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and General
Knowledge.
(c) Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test (PET).
(d) Viva-voce.
(V)Written Examination will be held on 9th June, 2012 at Tashi Namgyal
Academy.
(VI)PHYSICAL TEST-DATES & VENUE: will be announced on the date of
written examination.
(VII)SYLLABUS & MARKS- The syllabus and marks for the Physical
Efficiency test and the written test may be collected from the office of the IGP,
Communication & Computers while obtaining application forms.
